Fronto-lateral approach simulation
This is as simulation of a small fronto-lateral craniotomy. The craniotomy is centered over the superior temporal line caudally reaching the sphenoid ridge. The frontal lobe is exposed and with a subfrontal exposure the opticocarotid region can be reached.

1. Soft tissue dissection
Left sided fronto-lateral craniotomy. Soft tissue dissection exposing the temporalis m.

2. Bone exposure
The temporalis muscle is reflected anteriorly exposing the relevant bone landmarks.

3. Craniotomy
Limited fronto-lateral craniotomy was done with center superior temporal line. The caudal end of the craniotomy reaches sphenoid ridge.
