A supra and infraclavicular skin incision is made, combining the supra- and infraclavicular approaches to the brachial plexus. the incision starts from the lateral border of the sternocleidomastoid m. curves over the superior border of the clavicle and continues over the deltoideopectoral sulcus.

The clavicula is transacted and the trunks, divisions and the cords of the brachial plexus are presented, as well as the individual nerves - median, ulnar, axillary, suprascapular, long thoracic nerve.
