Sural Nerve Graft Harvesting

1. Sural nerve exposure
The sural nerve is exposed above the lateral malleolus. Care is taken not to damage the small saphenous vein accompanying the nerve. Small linear skin incisions are made over the course of the sural nerve and a contras rubber band is placed below the nerve.
2. Sural nerve graft
The sural nerve is sequentially explanted securing enough length for nerve grafting.
