Anatomy Layer Stacker is an open-access Blender add-on developed to assist in the structured visualization of sequential anatomical dissections obtained via photogrammetry or 3D segmentation. The tool is designed for researchers, medical educators, and anatomists working with layered anatomical datasets, allowing for the consistent stacking and spatial organization of multiple 3D mesh models representing progressive anatomical depth.
The add-on identifies Blender mesh objects that are numerically named (e.g., 1, 2, 3, etc.), interprets them as ordered anatomical layers (with 1 being most superficial), and arranges them along the Z-axis with a uniform, user-defined inter-layer spacing. A simple graphical interface integrated into Blender’s 3D Viewport provides control over layer spacing and visibility toggles for each individual layer.
This tool facilitates digital anatomical reconstruction, didactic content creation, and virtual surgical planning by enabling precise spatial correlation between anatomical layers in 3D environments.

Installation
Download the anatomy_layer_stacker.py file.
Open Blender and navigate to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install.

Use the interface to define spacing and stack layers accordingly.
